Around the area you can enjoy the Arenal Lake Sunset Cruise, hiking, fishing and horseback riding. If you visit the Cerro Chato “Chato Hill”, you will travel from La Fortuna around the Arenal Volcano to get to Arenal Observatory Lodge. From here you hike toward the summit of Chato Hill through a very dense primary forest. When you arrive you will visit the lagoon at the top of the hill, where you can have a refreshing swim.
