The province of San Jose, Costa Rica is the most populated of Costa Rica’s seven provinces. The importance of this town is that San Jose is Costa Rica’s Capital province and where all the major companies and development lie. Some years ago the Capital of Costa Rica was Cartago, a nearby province with high moral and religious standards, then, due to some extensive changes in the government San Jose became the Capital city of Costa Rica. The major part of San Jose is blessed by a moderate climate where a sweater or light weight jacket and an umbrella are all you'll ever need for the protection from the elements. San Jose Costa Rica experiences a dry season from mid-November through to mid-May and a wet season during the remaining half of the year.
