Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Implants & Dentist Office

Please read this if you’re considering having dental care performed by a cosmetic dentist in Costa Rica. Being the president of Vacationcity, people approach me daily wanting us to promote their services but maybe one out of every fifty make it to our website. Here is my personal experience with Costa Rica cosmetic dentistry that I think is worth our customers looking at. Being a full time resident here makes it difficult to fly back to the states for dental care so of course I began searching for a dentist in my town. I was tired of being embarrassed about my teeth which due to my own fault had been terribly neglected for 45 years. The dental services seemed to offer a permanent solution, due to price, that would fix my problem forever. Although I am very fluent in Spanish my first thought was to find an English speaking Costa Rica Dentist office just to be on the safe side. Having a communication gap would not be a good thing if I did not understand the dentist correctly! So, off I went in search of a Dental Clinic with a VERY fluent English speaking dentist.

I found a Dental Clinic even better than I could have wished for. The company is called Dentavac and with their fantastic team of dentists & staff they have transformed my teeth from ugly, chipped, broken and discolored to what I have now, the mouth of a celebrity! See my before & after images above. Yes those are my teeth before and after the dental procedures. Dental photo skeptics please feel free to call me if you don’t believe it. A good cosmetic dentist in Costa Rica is hard to find but from the first moment Dr. Luis made me feel right at home with his impeccable English, jokes and gentle smile; he also has a partner, Dr. Arturo, who is an extremely kind man and an amazing dentist as well. Both dentists are highly qualified, very respected and knowledgeable in all areas of dentistry. Their very friendly dental clinic staffs of 7 employees take care of the everyday operations. Here many dentists offer what they call “dental tourism” appointments because everyone tries to cash in on the tourism market. Think about it… The flight, lodging, food, leisure, transfers, things to do and dental services can all be done at the same time for less money than just the regular dental cost of the states! Costa Rica dental tourism is a great idea because people take a trip and get their dental care needs taken care of at the same time.

Dental Implants

If you’re considering having a dental implant surgery in Costa Rica then you’re making a great choice. My best friend Robert had a dental implant surgery done here last week (10-6-06). I made his dental implant appointment with Dentavac and as I do not have a weak stomach, I watched as Dr. Evon began to work on him. He deadened his jaw, took this tooth out, drilled the hole and then screwed the dental implant in with a small socket set ratchet. Finally he screwed a plug into the dental implant to keep it clean. The entire procedure took all of 15 minutes with no stitches and Robert never even had any pain. Two pain killers along with 5 days of antibiotics were prescribed and my friend ate anything he wanted after just 36 hours. Dental implant prices are $850.00 with big discounts on volume. The post & crown run between $450.00 to $600.00 U.S. Dollars. Robert priced the same dental implant surgery through his regular dentist at home yet he was able to fly here, spend 9 days with us, eat & go to the Caribbean coast for less money than getting the same dental implant procedure at home. Not only that, but I get to see him again in January when he comes back for his post & crown.
