The area was declared Biological reserve on 1972 in order to preserve the only Cloud Forest of Costa Rica. There is an incredible natural beauty that can be observed during the Sky Walk: a walking tour from the up to 200 meters high bridges that there are between one tree and the other. For the most adventurous we suggest the Sky trek, where the trip from one tree to the other will be on moving platforms. In Monte Verde biological cloud forest there are 8 different life zones; the zones poses varying degrees of humidity and climate that change as you cross over from one to the other. From swamps to cloud forest, the scenery is always incredible. Bromeliads, orchids and many other tropical plants and flowers so as birds, as the elusive resplendent Quetzal, and butterflies will be seen during the tour. From the top of the trees the view will be really unbelievable!
