Cano Island is a charming 600 acre isle located 12 nautical miles from Drake Bay. This beautiful island boasts a historically important archaeological site as well as breathtaking panoramas. After you disembark from the scenic boat ride, you senses will be overpowered by beauty.  There are great chances you will get to see whales, dolphins, turtles and marine birds. Cano Island is well known for the abundance of marine life and is a fantastic place for snorkeling, swimming or just relaxing. If you choose to explore the iridescent waters surrounding the island you will be amazed by the wide variety of aquatic species including triggerfish, needlefish, parrotfish, angelfish, puffers, grunts, barracudas and white tip reef sharks. There are also two hiking trails which lead to a beautiful lookout as well as the archaeological discoveries.
