Playa Manzanillo Costa Rica
There are two Playa Manzanillos, both equally beautiful, one of them is found in our lovely Guanacaste province. Playa Manzanillo boasts a charming atmosphere that encourages much rest and relaxation. The incredible landscape is beautifully complemented by outstanding azure waters, panoramic ocean views, lush tropical foliage as well as a romantic ambience. Even though at times the waves can be fickle, this is a fantastic place to surf when the right winds hit the sparkling waves and cause them to swell and break upon the colorful offshore coral reef. For those planning a road trip, a four-wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended. The other Playa Manzanillo sits inside the borders of our Gandoca-Manzanillo Wildlife and Marine Refuge located in the province of Limon. This Caribbean shoreline boasts pale sands lined with stately palm trees. Fantastic weather conditions plus gentle waters make for a great surfing and scuba diving destination. Wildlife on land and underwater will mesmerize you, from monkey specimens to three different dolphin species. Breathtaking coral reefs and picturesque tropical jungles inspire such activities as snorkeling, swimming, fishing and hiking. The beach breaks are fast and the waters are alive with colorful creatures. Come enjoy tasty meals, good company and a relaxed ambiance.
