Esterillos Beach Costa Rica
Esterillos beach is a lovely location adorned with silvery gray sands and wide open spaces. This picturesque shoreline is divided into two main sectors named East Esterillos and West Esterillos. This coastal area features easy access, a wide array of accommodation options as well as a legal camping site. This ruler straight beach boasts gorgeous mangrove swamps. For those interested in domestic flights Esterillos beach does offer a grassy airstrip. Swimmers are cautioned to beware of strong undertows found here. This destination remains un-crowded for the most part. While there are many different aquatic sports that are extremely popular here, surfing has become the biggest craze. Up and down this coastline you will find consistent beach breaks that offer excellent waveform. These strong waves are best surfed while the tide level is rising, that is when the swells get big. Surfing conditions at this beach are terrific all year long, but common consensus says that the West Coast is often better.
