From Golfito, a motor boat takes you to palm-fringed Playa Cacao, where you begin kayaking along the untouched coast. The waters of Golfo Dulce are calm in the morning, and a large variety of water birds can be seen. The rainforest reaches all the way down to the many uninhabited coves and bays, where you have the opportunity to disembark on an isolated sandy beach for swimming and snorkeling. Monkeys can often be seen in the trees. The motor boat carries our cameras and backpacks and follows at a discreet distance, ready to pick us up after around three hours (or when we give a sign).
