This tour takes place in Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge, one of the jewels of the Amistad Caribe Conservation Area, known as mixed protected, where part of the reserve is government owned and some is private property belonging to the locals. The tour is a 10km hike (5km each way) and has an amazing biodiversity. Tourists can also enjoy lookout points with ocean views of a scenic beauty that can only be found in the South Caribbean of Costa Rica. The trail crosses between beautiful beaches and forests, through giant trees like figs, kapok and sand box trees. Depending on Mother Nature, you will be able to see different species of animals such as white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, sloths, tayras, iguanas, basilisks, eyelashes vipers, woodpeckers, toucans, common black hawks and more. The tour also includes one of ours naturalist tour guides who will explain about the dynamics of the ecosystem present in the refuge and about the people and their culture. A 10km hike in a bio diverse wildlife refuge with lookout points of ocean views, trails through beautiful beaches and rain forests and an amazing array of birds and animals like monkeys, sloths and toucans.
