Canyoning has become very popular with extreme sport fans all over the world. This sport has been practiced in Europe for many years and recently has extended all the way to the Americas. Canyoning is specifically practiced in the natural geographic setting of canyons. This extreme sport activity involves rappelling and descending cliffs and waterfalls within the canyon. This is a tour just 15 minutes away from downtown Turrialba in a private rainforest reserve. This activity has several intriguing stops such as: the descent of 4 alternate waterfalls with 4 canopy cables, descent of leafy trees through ropes, and the journey over a 132 feet long hammock bridge. This tour takes approximately from 3 to 4 hours, with a delicious lunch included after the trip, seeing as you will work up quite an appetite. Visitors will be provided with specialized equipment and an impermeable jacket for this tour. |
